What do we consider a party game?

In our definition, a party game is a very simple game meant to be played at parties and social gatherings. They are designed to be very easy to learn, and contain very few rules. They facilitate interaction and socializing between participants. They are often used with larger groups of people that don’t know each other–though this doesn’t always hold true.

Obviously, party games aren’t limited to just board games that we’ve listed on this page. There are party games that don’t require any type of board, game pieces or cost. They are games that we’ve all played at one time or another with friends or family. They are extremely simple and usually play with very large groups.

Large groups of friends

Pretty much any party game could fit into this category, but obviously, some are better than others. These games specifically allow at least 10 players to participate (whether they recommend that number or not). They are

  • Telestrations Party Pack

Larger groups of strangers
